I don't factor mail-in rebates into my price, as most of the time I do not end up using them.

And? It's still sub 90$.

Sorry did not realize, but do I need to get a Z170 since my cpu is not overclockable. Could I get an H110 motherboard and save some money?

Z170 would be nice, given that you have over 2133mhz RAM (which you can OC even further to get more performance).

If you're not up to it, however, then you can pretty much just get whatever you want.

Would the RAM run on the H110 motherboard fine?

What would you recommend between the Z170 and H110?

What kind of question is that... didn't I deliberately recommend a Z170 board already? :P

ASUS since you don't need overclocking capability, and ASUS always has pretty good quality boards.

MSI GE72 Apache Pro-242 - (5700HQ : 970M : 16gb RAM : 17.3" : Win10 : 1TB HDD : Razer Anansi : Some mouse) - hooked up to a 34UM58-P (WFHD) in dual screen

iPad Air 2 (for school)

iPhone 6

Xbox One Forza 6 Limited Edition Blue

If you plan on getting a K CPU later, you can get the z170, but if not, you don't need it and the asus board would do fine.

I think I am more likely to upgrade to a new chip set than buy a overclockable cpu that is capable with Z170, so I will go with the ASUS.
