Recording battlefield 1, need to editing and rendering software, suggestions will be greatly appreciated

So, lets cut to the chase. I have been recording the battlefield 1 trial for the last two days. After i gathered enough footage i went to edit them on my trusty windows movie maker; you know the best. But to my shock and horror, i discovered that i cannot render videos above 1080p, all my gameplay is in glorious 1440p, and so i need new editing and rendering software. I thought it would be past to ask a forum of enthusiasts for advice; the reason being i do not have alot of money at the moment. And i can only get what i can offord. Please comment back with suggestions for the best of editing software for a cheap price, i do understand i will not get the best of the best, but im only looking for basic editing, and capability of 1440 rendering.

There's also Windows Movie Maker. LTT uses it for Channel Super Fun.

Thats what i need to replace, it cannot render above 1080p (i have 1440p footage)

I've tried that program out but it's a little confusing on some new things, where could I go to get some help or some guides on using Resolve?

Blender has a video editor built into it.
