Do you think Oculus Touch Will Play Vive Games?

Johnmakuta

I just tested the Oculus Touch Controllers and from what I can tell they are just as accurate as the Vive controllers. They also are more comfortable and feel like they are my hand. Do you think now that oculus has touch controllers that are as good as the Vive games will add in support for them or at least a mod will come out that will make it possible?

Many of them have already confirmed support for Touch. It's a pretty safe bet most of them will support it.

They will need to be compatible with each other's ecosystem if we want VR to even have a chance of succeeding. Will it though? Probably not. Because greed.

It will be up to individual developers to add support for each devices in their games I guess.

Having to add motion controls afterwards may prove difficult, so we'll have to wait and see.

SteamVR natively supports the Touch controllers, so developers would have to go out of their way to not support the Rift.

Oh really!? That's awesome. Do you have any articles on it? I noticed the buttons on both controllers were almost identical but I didn't know they were that compatible.

Here's an article from when Valve added support.
