In this video: 

linus got to 4.8 GHz but when overclocked does he use loadline calibration? Because it's much easier to get to that speed using lower voltages caused LLC. And not just him but when people go on forums and they say for example they got to 4.8 GHz at 1.35v did they use LLC or did they set it to 1.35v without touching anything else.

This guide imo is a lot better than linus because it recommends to start from the bottom up. Going from 4.8GHz and around 1.35-1.38v (or close to 1.4v) can cause some cpu damage (usually not) but doing it this way gives you a better understanding at what your max clock is. 

 

 

Direct Response: I dont think he did, I think he found out what his OC was before he made the video and just used it as an example. I would kill for a 4.8GHz OC at 1.35v, honestly it has to do with luck...
