So we've had this router for lets just say a little while (https://www.netgear.com/support/product/WGR614v6.aspx?cid=wmt_netgear_organic) and I need help figuring out what to upgrade to because we've been having issues with it recently so I will provide some hopefully helpful info. I have a budget of 200 dollars which I hope is enough for a good one and there is 3 other people going to be using the router and we also have Charter Spectrum if that helps.

(Person 1) Computer is hooked to Ethernet and I stream a lot of videos

(Person 2) Has a laptop and streams Netflix on chrome-cast

(Person 3) Has laptop streams a little bit of videos

(Person 4) Doesn't use WiFi as much as others

I hope this helped to figure out which router I need with what ever bandwidth or something to support what's listed above, thanks.

What internet speeds do you pay for? And do you need a modem/router or just a router?

Just a router

I take it you're in the States? I don't know what retailers are good over there, So I can't really help you, but I'd say something like the TP-Link Archer C2 would suit you, as it has up to 300Mbps 2.4GHz wifi, so no bottleneck, faster on 5GHz and it has gigabit ethernet, so that wouldn't bottleneck anything. It should be plenty cheap enough, since it's less than a 2TB HDD over here (UK).

How's the bandwidth on it for multiple users on it at once? Does that rely on the router or the service provider? yes in in the states why do you assume that :D

The bandwidth should be fine for multiple users, especially if the laptops support 5GHz wireless (A lot don't, but many do). The only thing bottlenecking will be your speeds (So it's your ISPs fault). I assumed you are in the states for 2 reasons. Firstly, I've never heard of "Charter Spectrum", and secondly most people on here tend to be in America.
