I'm going to buy a new CPU and main board. I'm dumping my massive tower with the industrial fans needed to cool the EVGA 590 I had(it died finally). I have a 980 SC now and it just doesn't need the cooling that the 590 did and I'm trying to reduce my PCs footprint and noise level.  I already bought a Thermaltake Core V1 case. I have a 3570k but just can't find a main board I like that is both mini ITX and LGA 1155. I'm mostly concerned with getting DDR4 or keeping my DDR3. Most of what I've seen says go with the cheaper 1150 and DDR3 since my 3570k and DDR3 bested my my friends 2011v3 6C 12T, 32GB DDR4, X99 Classified monster with the same GPU and SSDs. My FPS were mostly 3-5 frames better in game with all stock clocks. I tested thoroughly making sure this wasn't a fluke. Obviously in CPU intensive benchmarks he would win by a large margin. But I don't care about benchmarks all I want is smooth FPS IN GAME. So, 1150, 1151 or 2011. Which one would you choose in my place and why?
