Need PSU for pc

Go to solution Solved by HKZeroFive,

Stick with the M12II.

Hi guys, I was searching for a good-"cheap" , PSU

My config will be : i5-6500 , RX 460 , 8Gb ram , x5 120mm fans... x1 SSD , x1 HDD

First I was looking at   Seasonic M12II-520 EVO Edition Bronze 520W ,(is nice and fully modular) but then CM PSU calculator says that 319W is ok.

On what PSU shoud I go?

i5-6500 with a 460? For purely gaming an i3-6100 and RX 470/480 would be a better option.

i5-6600k (4.6) | Dark Rock 3 | MSI GAMING X 1060 6GB | 8GB DDR4 | 120GB SSD & 1TB HDD | Crystal 460x

 | Acer GN246HL 1080p 24" 144hz & Acer G246HL 1080p 24" 60hz |

PSU Tier List | PC Partpickers: US Canada Australia UK

Anything above 400w can be ok, If you don't want to upgrade I would recommend Evga 420w PSU

There's no 420W EVGA PSU and nothing under the 550W mark from EVGA is worth considering for most systems with a GPU, maybe bar OP's system which has a 460 where a 500B would be fine.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

This is not a pure gaming pc , i want to play only Lol, Dota2, cs:go, starcraft2 , and maybe other rts , but that`s all.

Unless you need to multitask or have more than one monitor I don't see a reason to have an i5 over a better graphics card.

I`m not that kind of guy that has the money to upgrade the cpu each year , and if by some reason I decide to get a better GPU, then I will have CPU problems, and on rts games as far as i remember cpu is more important.

But you will have enough to upgrade your GPU every year?
