So I'm currently on the fence of buying a new smartphone, since my iPhone 5 is starting to get dated.

I was waiting for the Pixel launch, but that phone is way above my budget (€400).

It seems like the OP3 is the perfect option, but I'm kinda afraid to buy it.

What happens when something breaks on the phone and I'm unable to use it? I would have to chip it all the way to China, wait until they've checked it out, accept the RMA and then wait until it's back in Europe. That could easily take a month or more, with no guarantee that they will accept the RMA.

Meanwhile if I were to buy a phone in a local store here, if I have a problem with it, I just go to the store and probably get a new phone 5 minutes later.

What are your experiences with this? I know that a phone isn't suppossed to fail in the first 2 years or so, but maybe I just get super unlucky, you know?

Have you checked to see if the Oneplus3 is sold in stores where you are?

Yes, €600 is the cheapest I can find, and those are usually some shady websites that I've never heard of.

I had a problem with the first one I received it was DOA.  Their live support walked me through the entire process and had me ship it to a place in Texas that took a look at it to verify, then sent me a new one.  Was one of the easiest rma experiences I've ever had.

The thing is that I live in Belgium, and I doubt they will have such places around here.

That phone is a bit too large for me, I already think the OP3 is huge, Axon 7 is even bigger.

How about the honor 8? I'd think the OP3 is a bit better but the honor might be cheaper where you live.

iphone se :)

I'm tired of iOS and want to switch to Android.

Yes I really like that phone design and price, however the heavily skinned Android theme is a huge turn-off for me.

There's a reason I want to switch from iOS to Android, and if I were to buy an honor 8 I would get the exact same iOS feeling.

I'm aware that I can use custom launchers and stuff, but that doesn't make it perfect.

I was wrong, I thought the OP3 was smaller than the Axon, but it's the other way around.

I can get it from amazon.de for €450. I might look into that one.
