Hi guys this is my first pc build and I need some motherboard advice since I have no experience with manufacturers.

I'm planning a budget gaming build and I have all the components picked out except for the Case itself.

I have no plans for overclocking anytime in the future, and at most would be upgrading to an i5 when needed.

USB 3.0 header would be a bonus, but I can live without it.

My choices are limited to whats available in local stores.

Price List if you are interested: 001 Bizgram 6th October 2016 Pricelist.pdf

I'm currently stuck between choosing these three motherboards:

1. Asrock H110M-HDV

2. Gigabyte H110M-S2PV

3. Asus H110M-A DDR4

Alternatively I could go for the ambiguously named "Biostar H110 micro ATX" and save at least $20 more.

My primary concern would be the motherboard's longevity and reliability.

That said, motherboards at this price probably wouldn't last long anyway, but I would like to know whether

1. Which of these motherboards (or manufacturers) are most reliable

2. Or should I just suck it and get the cheapest option since they're all low end.

Asus and ASrock are probably the best 2 motherboard manufacturers out there. Rule #1 on building a PC: never cheap out on a MoBo. Ok thats not rule #1 but its in the book somewhere. Motherboard longevity/reliability isn't something you should be too worried about, it'll last you many years. Granted it'll die before your CPU does but that's to be expected out of any motherboard

Thanks for your help, that really cleared my doubts over which motherboard to choose. Ill most likely stick to the ASUS one if Mi26's recommendation doesn't work out for me. Thanks again to both of you!

To answer the questions:

1. The main difference between the ASUS, ASrock, and Gigabyte models would be any features (or colour scheme/appearance) that may differ between them. Other than that they are basically the same.

Biostar would be a quality tier below them IMO.

2.  They are "low-end" only because they are using the lowest price chipset and have fewer features. I'd recommend any of them except the Biostar.

Be sure the H110 chipset suits your needs - number of ports, etc. You might want to consider a B150 or H170 chipset.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

i5-6600, 16Gigs, ITX Corsair 250D, R9 390, 120Gig M.2 boot, 500Gig SATA SSD, no HDD
