As wattage goes up on the CXM series reliability goes down. I recommended the one one I did because it is higher quality and fully modular for the same price.

Stop talking rubbish. The new CX series are good units, and it would be fine for this build.

You don't seem to be reading what I am saying, I own a CXM power supply, it's been fine. Stop being righteous, the power supply I

recommended would be better for this build as it is the same price, higher quality, and fully modular. He doesn't need that wattage.

I said that the CM-X is perfectly fine for this build which consists of a locked i5 and a GTX 1060. He doesn't need to spend the extra money on the RMx.

And the price difference is 26 Euro's by the way for the 550W models, so not sure why you think they are priced the same.

Prebuilt PSUs are sketchy. If you are going to put valuable components into your PC you should get a good PSU.

Ill throw in the seasonic 520w. Its cheaper than corsair and i've always heard that seasonic makes the top tier corsair psu's and that seasonic is best psu manufacturer. I used to follow all the hardware related news. But wow i wasnt following it for 1or2 years and so much has changed :P new cpu's, gpu's, chipsets, ddr4

If you are reusing the case, just make sure that it can take an ATX power supply, and also that your other components will fit.

Mobo is microAtx so for the upgrade i also chose microATX

His current gpu is 267 mm long, the gtx1060 is 223 mm so should fit right? both are dual slot gpu.

Only thing that im not sure about is psu

Definitely check the psu before you buy a new one. Some pre-built systems have non standard components in them.

If the new gpu is shorter than the current one then yes it should be fine. Same goes for the board, if it is a micro atx in the HP pc then it should be a straight swap.
