Hey guys, one of my friends wants to buy my current system, and I had planned on upgrading soon anyways, so I said why not. I am wondering how this build looks or if it should be changed. It is still technically an upgrade, because I am keeping the graphics card which I have already bought, and the HDD.

I'd get a different power supply, but everything else looks fine

I'd get a better quality PSU since you appear to be overclocking. I'd also get a Cryorig H7 cooler because its better performing, better sounding, better looking, and an aesthetic match to your otherwise black and white system that you have going on.

And why a black and red case when you have black and white components? They make an S340 in white you know ;) nothing wrong with the case though if that is what you want =)

As for PSU, get an EVGA G2, or a Corsair RMx. If you don't quite have the budget for that a Corsair CXM (grey label) or Seasonic PSU like the S12/M12 would be a good bet. You don't need more than 500W for that system (you can even get away with less tbh, but there aren't many high quality units that are affordable at low wattage amounts, so may as well look for one in the 500+ area).

Thank you, this was very helpful.

Do you think getting better fans would be beneficial? I currently have a corsair 200r with its original fans and an amd processor with stock cooler and when things warm up it sounds like a helicopter is about to take off next to me, would better fans remedy this?

Yes better fans COULD remedy it, but its more than likely the sound of your CPU cooler or GPU cooler that is getting so loud, as case fans (even cheap or stock fans) tend not to ramp up very hard to get too loud (unless you've plugged them into the wrong spot on your motherboard). You could always get another fan or two for the top of your case as exhausts if you're paranoid about it, but I would say wait and see until after you've changed out your system hardware and see if its still too loud for you. You could also move your front intake fan to the top of your case as an exhausts (2 exhaust fans with 0 intakes) to bring case temps down a few degrees to help your components out if you want.

But yes, definitely getting a better CPU cooler and a better GPU cooler (which are things you look like you have picked out in this build) should likely fix most acoustic issues you're having. Fair warning the 200R has only 300mm of GPU clearance with the HDD bay installed. the 1070 strix is 298mm. It should fit but you're gonna be cutting it awful close ;)

Already bought and have installed the card, works perfectly fine.

Do you guys think a white case with black sleeved cables, or a black case with white sleeved cables would look sharper?

well on the white case, the exterior of it is white, but the interior of it is mostly black (with the exception of the white fans and white cable routing bar). I think black and white on the interior of the case would look quite good, therefore with plenty of black on your case and components on the inside, white cables should be the way to go for you IMO.
