What's the difference between this http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8151-clevo-p650rp6.html

And this

https://m.newegg.com/Product?ItemNumber=2WC-000M-000B8&iscoz=true

Besides  the eluktronics one being cheaper with windows included, an ssd and the ups display.

They're the same laptop right? Just different companies retailing it?

Could be. But! Genuinely trying to be helpful (and not a d***): don't buy a gaming laptop. Unless you just really need one for some reason. They don't give you nearly as good price to performance as a desktop. For that price, you could get a pretty dope desktop and monitor to go with it.

same laptop. I don't like either retailers. Unless there is massive price difference that will affect what you can get, go with LPC Digital or HIDEvolution.

Pfft there is one every thread! :D

Ditto the rest, same Clevo frame, if you are looking for alternatives; MSI, Asus & Gigabyte all offer very good laptops in that pricerange. Honestly the build quality differences are going to be negligible unless you want to spend silly amounts on one of the more boutique brands.

It seems like lpc and hid just add 100 bucks to the price for no reason

Better service. Custom Prema Bios. More custom options. LPC should be similar in pricing to XoticPC. HID is the true enthusiast retailer and they tack on 200-300 dollars for enthusiast only things like Liquid Metal/Delidding Warranty + Custom RAM selection + off the shelf selections.

@D2ultima for a more detailed breakdown of the retailers.

Whats the difference between retailers?

Don't know about Elektrunics. https://lpc-digital.com/product/sager-np8152-special-clevo-p650rp6/ this is the best/cheapest buy you'll get for it, really.

256GB SSD, 16GB of RAM, 1TB HDD, 230W PSU (unlike Elektrunics which sells with 200W for some reason; that's last gen's PSU) at least as far as I know. 2 year warranty; not sure how long elektrunics or whatever it is has.

I wouldn't buy that elektrunics model because of what you could get with that link I just gave.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

That link would run me 200 dollars more for stuff I don't need.

Also, would the 200w psu give me worse battery life? Battery life is like 5 hours of regular use for this model right?

The link for elektrunics you sent me is $1400. The link I sent you is $1429, and less if you pay with a cash-approved payment type.

Where is this $200 more? And what stuff do you not need?

And how would a power brick affect battery life?

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Oops I meant to provide this link https://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=9SIA8S14TC5801

And the link you provided is more like 1500 with Windows 10. What you're doing is like when people say "a gaming pc costs much less than a gaming laptop" and they don't factor in hard drives, windows 10,a screen, and a mouse and keyboard

Yeah, that link is the cheapest you'll find it. Though, I don't understand why you want such low specs.

I expected also for you to find Windows on your own. Micro$haft doesn't really deserve money for that piece of dogshit they call an OS that is named Windows 10 either. I've seen so many reports of anniversary update breaking PCs it's an absolute joke. It's like they don't bother testing anything anymore. And you can't even defer updates on W10 Home either. Everybody who says home is all you need is an idiot.

Anyway, I haven't heard of eluktronics but if it's a Clevo, it's a Clevo. I can't vouch for their support or service, though. Also note that the LPC one has 2 years of warranty on a fully soldered machine as opposed to the 1 year on that newegg link.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

What do you mean such low specs? It just doesn't have an ssd, and I personally won't need more than 8gb of ram.

8GB of RAM and lacking a SSD with an unnamed HDD is what I consider low specs. BF1 on its own uses 7GB of RAM. 8GB is "bare minimum" for gaming right now, etc.

But if that's all you care for, go ahead by all means.
