Best GTX 1060?

Yout

Im planning to get a 1060 and ive been looking at the EVGA 1060 SSC and I think its pretty good. Is there any "better version" of the 1060 out there that's under $400 CAD?

They will all have similar performance. It depends on the cooler that will allow you to get a higher OC on the card. I personally bought the MSI Gaming X model as it probably has one of the best cooling solutions.

I have the Strix 6G NON OC, the simple one.

I choose it because of the 3 vents. It's very silent and has yet good temps.

I managed to set an OC (exactly like the Strix OC version), with no additional voltage. In my country the price difference between them is about 40 USD.

I did not consider to spend that extra for the OC version. I did upgrade from the GTX760 OC, so I used to buy OCd cards before.

Not sure if the Strix is one of the best 1060s but I'm very happy with it.

IMO a 3 fans card should have better noise/performance ratio.

BUT is sooo big. I have a Define R4 and I removed the top drive cages to fit it.

Good luck choosing one.

Same here, Im using the regular Strix version and I couldnt be happier. Runs cool, leds look amazing and it is very quiet. IMO the top 3 gtx 1060 are: gigabyte g1, msi gaming x and the strix. Evga has amazing customer support but it looks cheap, and zotac has mediocre performance in the cooling department.

LOL, I got the "worst" GTX 1060, the Zotac Mini 1060 6gb. WHY?

Because you cannot beat the price for $340 CAD @ Staples.ca.

It's one ugly card. It has a flimsy looking plastic shroud, an ugly fan and an aluminum block. Not heat pipes.

I honestly have no complaints. It's not too loud, it runs everything to the max @ 1080p. People say that is runs hot under load, but it never exceeds 76 °C. And that's cooler than most gaming laptops anyway.

If you want the best of the best, get an MSI card. I doubt it's worth the extra $60 though.
