Just use the nvidia driver to do a fresh install and see if problems persist. Download latest from NVidia site.

Yes, Nvidia allows you to uninstall everything clean, and also select what parts of drivers you want to install if you just don't want Geforce experience. Thats what I do atleast.

I only do a fresh install of he driver itself. Then I right click on the NVidia icon by the clock and chose experience then it installs with out issue. I have to use the lastest verson of it but it works.

Try check if GFE service is disabled.
