Is there a reason why you want laptops? Thats enough budget to build you each an insanely good top-of-the-line desktop PC to would be high-end for years; or get a laptop thats decent for gaming right now and won't be in a year.

Gaming - Ryzen 9800X3D | 64GB 6400mhz cl30 9070 XT

Homelab - many servers...constantly changing.

3970X/256GB - 5950X/128GB ECC - 5600G/96GB - 3400GE/16GB - 3400GE/16GB

Me and my friend want to buy new gaming laptops
1 - my budget (2000-2200)$
2 - his budget ( less than 2000)$
we want them to have a good cooling system, their height not exceed (3cm) (1.18 inch ), and their weight not exceed (3.5 kg)

(7.7 pounds) (for shiping purpose)

A i7 with a 1070m for the one under 2k, and a i7 with a 1080m for the 2k one...  Just pick the one that you like the most.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

Actually there are no "m" version of Nvidia GPUs this generation. They are all slightly lowed clock speed desktop chips.

It's not the same chip.  I'm sorry they forgot the "m", but I didn't forget it.

You're still wrong mate. LOL it's the same chip with the exact same amount of shaders (cept the 1070, that one is special). It's just downclocked. But it's the same chip.

When their frame rates are about 20% different and the price is about 10% different, and not in the same direction...  Its not the same thing.  Its a mobile part, thus the "m".

I never said anything about frame rates. Or price. You said it wasn't the same chip. It is the same chip. Whether the price premium is worth it to you is a whole other story. Also performance is fine in laptops that cool it well. You can OC it to desktop level performances.
