So, could you please take a look at the 4 1060s above and tell me which one would be the most temp + noise + price efficient. With that said, I see potential in the new 3GB Amp! Edition from ZOTAC and I thought they only released an Amp! version of the 6GB only.

Yeah Zotac

Out of the 4 GTX 1060 3GB listed below, which one is the best in terms of temperatures and noise? MYR = Malaysian Ringgit

1. PALIT GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Dual [939 MYR]
2. ZOTAC GTX 1060 Amp! Edition 3GB GDDR5 <<< NEW! (I think) [989 MYR]

3. GIGABYTE GTX 1060 Mini ITX OC 3GB GDDR5 [1065 MYR]
4. ASUS Dual GTX 1060 OC 3GB GDDR5 [1109 MYR]

I will be gaming at 768p, so I'm sure the 1060 3GB will last for a long time.

I've already made a decision on getting the GTX 1060 3GB; just which version to get. I'm not keen on getting the RX 480 since its more expensive than a GTX 1060 6GB so I might as well get the 1060 version if I ever thought of getting the RX 480. (Based on my local online store)

Zotac, the others are fine too,

In terms of temps, acoustics and fps, they are all fairly similar, especially the last 3 you mentioned

Also, the most important thing (imo) is setting up a good fan profile that allows GPU boost 2.0 to do its job.

I've heard the Mini series from ZOTAC get quite hot and are pretty loud. By the way, all 4 GPUs I listed above are cheaper than the cheapest 1060 6GB

I think it's because, regardless of screen resolution, the same assets from the game still have to be stored in VRAM.

In 2016, I really wouldn't go for a 3GB card unless you don't plan on playing newer games in the coming years. Doom, for example, uses 3-5GB depending on the level with the Ultra graphics preset. Back when I used a GTX 770, I had to play that game in 720p in order to get a solid 60fps and it was still using up to 4GB of VRAM, which is the amount of VRAM the GTX 770 had. The VRAM usage goes even higher than 5GB if you use the Nightmare settings.

Current Build:

Does it matter? A 3GB 1060 even with lesser cuda cores is still a fast card. What i'm saying is, you'll most likely move away from your 768p monitor faster than you expected.

And then the 3GB might give you some problems in a 1080p res.

You'll be playing modern AAA games right?

The most graphic-intensive games I can think of that I currently own and play are Far Cry 4 and Forza Motorsport 6: Apex (Beta).
I doubt I'll get a new game any time soon.

At that resolution you can get away with the upcoming GTX-1050 or buy a 2nd hand GTX-960/R9-380 at RM500-600.
