hello, i just installed a new driver on my gtx560ti. i used to play warthunder on around 50 fps medium settings, now it's very close to unplayable, to a point it affects my in-game performances. i get 40 fps on the highest, most of the time 30, and quite often drops to 20 fps and even below. when the game starts, there is stuttering and the textures seems to remain low quality for a while before picking up. anyone have a clue of what's going on? https://www.asus.com/ca-fr/Graphics-Cards/ENGTX560_Ti_DCII_TOP2DI1GD5/ it's not heat related as the game behave as such upon start in the first minute.

what should i do? is it the drivers fault and i should sue nvidia or is it something else?

Yeah you could sue Nvidia. Or you know, you could search YouTube for the multitude of videos where new and old drivers were compared and no difference was found. Old GPUs lose performance in brand new games as they are not given the same quality of Game Ready Driver (as well as not supporting all of the technology at the hardware level like some newer architectures), they do not decrease performance in old games.

It might even be worth trying older versions of Warthunder to see if its own updates has affected your performance. And by "it might even be worth trying" I mean "it's almost certainly this".

I have a GTX 560 Ti and my bet recommendation would be to run version 362.00

Versions past that seem to introduce weird problems seemingly at random.

If you do that, uninstall the driver using DDU then clean install the 362.00 version for good measure.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
