Blower and Custom fans

Guest

So I know custom open fans typically keep the video card temp down better than a blower style fan, but the custom style fans increase the temp of other components in your PC. My question is how can I better keep temperature's down in the PC as room temperature can get pretty hot where I live.

Good case airflow is what you need for that.

Yeah thought so. I plan on buying some noctua case fans later on to replace the stock fractal design fans, and increase the number of fans. Just wanted to know if there were some other tips I should know

Depends on the case. If you're using an HTPC or small case, blowers will do a better job at cooling.

Can you use a vent or pipe to exhaust the hot air straight out of a window or something?

If you would like some specific recommendations, you can list your specs and load temps.

I only have 2 fans in my case, One intake and outake. I have custom fans and not blower.

My CPU idles around 30-40. My GPU idles at 30-40. My motherboad is also at 30-40.

My GPU Fans dont turn on until it reaches 60.

Getting a Fractal Design Define S mid tower case.

No I can't.

Problem is that components can't go below ambient temp and, as you can imagine, the heat from the PC isn't helping the room cool down.

Yeah. Just thought there might some trick I've never heard before keep temps down a bit (short of blowing fans directly on the PC). Video Cards these days tend to keep temps at safe levels so should be fine

You can try cleaning the fans and heatsinks and re-TIM'ing (?) redoing the thermal compound for the GPU and CPU if it has been a year or more since the last time.

Edit: What I did when I moved into my current house (since the A/C was dead) was use ducts to put the exhaust of the PC into the vents directly. Ghetto as f#ck but you don't mess with a gamer and his gaming student and his schoolwork.
