there's a notch in the DIMM and a corresponding notch in the socket. These have to line up

The RAM should be compatible. Both the MoBo and the RAM are DDR4. Make sure that you are putting it in the right orientation. Also look for any defect in the RAM and the DIMM slots. If there are try to get it replaced

Real quick heads up, out side of the bag will conduct static electricity, I would take the MoBo off the bag ASAP just to avoid possible shocks.

From the pics I see they are in the right way, just push them in. If you're afraid to break the motherboard install it in the case first, so the standoffs will keep it rigid and safe.
