New 4k gaming PC

Hello,

My budget is to be under 2000 USD for the computer and I need some recommendations for a 4K monitor around $400~500

I plan to use the computer for school, watching cat videos, video editing, and gaming at 4K with demanding games

For now I don't have a monitor, Like I said above let me know some good ones to look at

I'm planning to build this computer in a Ncase M1

Im upgrading my computer simply because mine is getting old and I'm very interested in 4K and I need a 2nd computer for other reasons as well

You need a titan XP for proper 4k gaming at least for stable 60fps

As for your display, the one below is probably the best for the money, and it includes free-sync, IPS 4k free-sync is around $500 you could fit it with this budget

But I'd highly suggest just getting the RX 480 to run AAA games at 1080p Ultra, and the games you can run at 4k, run at 4k.

then just wait for Vega/1080ti if Vega sucks, also there might be a pascal refresh next year or something

Otherwise a G-sync 4k TN display is $518

Where you're better off getting the free-sync IPS display for that same price this one's $550

performance per dollar parts below

and of course a 40"+ 4k display is better for productivity

A single 1080 will not be enough for top of the line 4k. Either sli or buy a lower gpu and wait for a new card that properly does 4K.

Yeah I don't think i'm going to sli I really want to build on a ITX board. I'm not to worried about playing games on "ultra" graphic settings but I might just wait for the 1080ti anyways, it's only a few months away and I have an r9 290 that will work till then.

If you're going with 4K I'd suggest you avoid any TN panel.

Monitor: Dell P2715Q 27.0" 60Hz Monitor  ($465.00 @ Amazon)

+flexible adjustment, vesa mounts, plenty of connectivity

-6ms response time(6ms fast mode/8ms normal) hardly noticeable anyway unless you're into competitive FPS's

Monitor: Acer S277HK wmidpp 27.0" 60Hz Monitor  ($465.00 @ Amazon)

+4ms response time, unique aesthetics w/ offset stand, frameless

-limited adjustability and non-wall mountable
