The LUX is basically the updated version of the K70 RGB. The LUX adds a USB passthrough, the lighting controller found on the Corsair Strafe which fixed the 16.8M color issue and with a new font on the keycaps. Browns is usually a safe switch to start with as it has some tactile feedback without the noise of the Blues.

Herro internet. Call me dumb, but can someone please tell me the critical differences between the Corsair K70 RGB and the K70 LUX RGB?? Also which K70 do you guys find the best for everyday use? I want to go with red switches for gaming but I'm not too sure if their good for typing long hard sweaty essays you know? Any ways I really appreciate your feed back(:

I like blues for typing.  They take a little getting used to for gaming, but aren't terrible.  They say brown switches are a good compromise between blues and reds.

lux has a different font and slightly better lighting(might not have that), IMO the LUX keycaps look like shit but that might also be because i have a K70 lol. i would go for brown switches, its what i have and they are super nice to type on and game with :) 

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
