What mouse are you using? It might be a driver issue. If you have the possibility plug in a PS/2 mouse or try and plug the mouse into a different USB controller.

Mouse is a Logitech G700, I tried using it in wired and wireless mode, no luck either way.

Try connecting a different mouse and reinstall the drivers for the G700.

I don't think it is the mouse because it is driverless, the only reason software is needed is for the programmable buttons on the side. I haven't got another mouse to test it. I'm pretty confident it is a Windows issue. Running Windows 7 Ultimate if that helps.

My speculations is that the BSoD has corrupted the standard Windows HID driver for the mouse. You might also be able to reinstall the driver through Device manager. I was just thinking that maybe the Logitech driver would overwrite the Windows drivers.

I was thinking there was an issue with Windows files, the problem though is I only have keyboard control to my computer, so it's going to be very difficult to try and reinstall the drivers using the device manager. What if I reinstall windows on the disk but doing an "upgrade" instead of fresh install? Would that work?

That might work. You could also try a system repair or try reverting to a earlier restore point.
