Hey so I wanna pick up a new headset, a better one this time, specifically the Audio Technica AD700x. This headset has about the same ohm impedance as the STeelseries Siberia V1or V2 (cant remember) i currently own. Though I already have very weak bass on this one (also tried fidling around with EQ and other Creative Soundblaster settings) and i read several online posts some time ago that they got way better Bass they expected when using a DAC, because most onboard sound solutions, even on more expensive mobos dont have amplifiers than output more power or how I should i describe it.

So is there a DRIVERLESS DAC you guys can recommend for me. It should realy not cost more than 70€ and it should have 3,5mm or optical input, cuz USB ones need drivers and I fear that there is gonna be a conflict with the onboard drivers and i wanna avoid that obviously. It should be available on amazon.de as well

thanks in advance,

Tiwaz

if you want more bass then the AD700x are not something for you. A DAC is not going to give you more bass, unless you have one of those mobos with the faulty creative DAC. I would recommend that you read the pinned post

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

no, a amp just makes the signal from the DAC louder, if you want a focus on bass then you want other headphones
