They have some for $5 USD which is about 3 GBP. I don't know the prices for UK, but are they really that inflated?

yeah I reveiced those monoprices the other day. they are bassy but so tinny its not even fun. tinny sharp piercing

Personally I'm using fischer audio Consonance but I've a pair of Vsonic GR07 MK2 on the post to me. I think you might be able to find Fischer consonance/eterna pretty cheap on ebay from time to time. I got mine for £25 a few weeks ago.
