Hello. :) I have a prebuilt PC that didn't come with a backup disk, and have moved on to Windows 8/10 (<- Retail) from 7 (<- Came with PC, OEM) for a while. I'm planning on selling this old PC to get enough dough for a new graphics card. My question is, if I put a version of Windows 7 Retail on this PC, even though the original disc was OEM, will my key still activate? The key should still be attached to this PC, as I have no way of taking it off. :P

Thank you in advance, everyone.

Try using Magic Bean to see what's the product key license. Then try to install W7

I tried using that program (free version) and it can only find the Windows 10 Home key, not the Windows 7 one. That's expected, as it didn't search anything but the current OS. I suppose the only way to know is to try installing it. :3

Is it too late to try and revert to old WN7?
