How to play games with three monitors without Nvidia Surround?

Hi. I have 3 1080p monitors and i want to play some triple monitor support games, but i can't stand the feel of nvidia surround, with the taskbar dissipearing on the other monitors and everything acts strange like two ultrawide monitors. Can I play games with 3 monitors without using surround or using surround but adjust it to have the taskbar and for my window to not appear very large.

Start learning? It's part of the basic repertoire of skills any triple monitor gamer should know.

Steam will usually have one guide, for each game, for TM gamers.

Isn't that the best kind? I already said it though. Find the ini file. Edit it so that the window is "borderless" and set the resolution to (for 1080) 5760 and 1080. Then you have to play the game and see the results.

What do you look for in the ini file?

Depends on the game. Some have the resolution set as "resX" and "resY". Some as "Height" and "Width". Some games don't have .ini files at all, so you have to delve into the program itself and tinker with it. Experiment and post what worked and what didn't.

Can you do that with any resolution?

Pretty much. I had it set to 5760x2160 but that's like 12M pixels and unplayable. This is what most people use in order to play flight sims on six monitors.

That's the fun part. You don't know until you try. You may also have to change the FOV by a point or two. If you do figure out how to get a game to run TM, post a walkthrough on LTT. Should probably make a common tag for it.

In theory, since you do have to manually set the resolution yourself (its a bit different for me, 1080p center and 1024x768 on the right or which ever resolution I want to set it, as it can handle a lot of unofficial resolutions without any overscan)
