$700 Budget! So I would like some suggestions on my custom PC I'm building. I am going with the Corsair 740 case (I will not settle for any other case) and a Corsair Hydro Series H100i Dual Rad I'm open to suggestions on that though.

I already have a GPU so I won't be buying one. Same goes for Display, Keyboard, Mouse & Pad.

I Would like to go with a ASUS ROG Motherboard but I'm open to any ideas there.

I thought I'd go with a 500W PSU any ideas on that are appreciated.

I'm thinking Broadwell or Skylake. My last laptop was a Lenovo Y50-Y70 4K I Liked it a lot never had a complaint, it was a Haswell. 16GB of RAM was a lot and I almost never used it all so I would be fine stepping down to 8GB.

I was thinking about going with a 7200 RPM 3TB HDD SATA 6.0Gb/s ~ $60.

I would like to stick with a quad core CPU but that probably won't happen right away so it can be a upgrade later.

Oh and I only want to go with a dual rad, I simply don't want to air cool it. And I plan to upgrade this PC over time.

1. an H100i is not reasonable on this budget, but that depends on what you already have.

2. What Corsair 740... that does not exist as far as i can tell

3. what GPU do you have?

4. SSD?

5. Overclock?

No your GPU is very relevant, since you dont want to have a CPU bottle neck your GPU as well gives an idea for power supplies

So I'm still not gonna be able to go with any other case than the Corsair 740. I simply like it in every way possible. I know it's pricey, I know I'll sacrifice getting better hardware for it, but it's what I want. Same goes for the dual rad I must have a dual rad and it must be copper and look awesome and for $100 the Corsair Hydro Series h100i is what I want.

So that means $250-$700=$450. For a ROG Motherboard (like I said it doesn't have to be Skylake it can be Broadwell) it just needs to look nice in the case :D. I really don't care at this point about the CPU just whatever is cheapest. And 8GB of cheap RAM.

I've already got a 3TB HDD 7200 RPM SATA lll 6.0Gb/s for $60.

Now we're at $390. I could get a PSU for $37 on amazon=$353.

So can Ya'll find for $353 a good ROG Motherboard that supports 8GB-16GB of RAM, and that is RAM that's affordable 2x 4GB sticks to make it dual channel & a cheap dual core HT so 4 threaded CPU? Motherboard could be $125 The RAM could be $50-$100 and CPU could be $128 or $178 if you can find cheap RAM.

Please don't add a GPU (I want to upgrade to a GTX 1060 later) to my budget. And don't change the case I want, I'm set in my ways. A 500W PSU is perfect, I don't want anything higher.

Also about the old GT 610 2GB you'd be surprised at how good I can get it to run. I'm an IT and know just about everything there is to know about Windows so I've got some tweaks up my sleeve .

i've used the gt 610 for a few years before, its rubbish in gaming, can't even get 720p lowest settings without lots of stuttering. listen to us and get a better graphics card, you can get the case and heatsink next time.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
