Laptop Cooler? Worth it?

Hey guys so i ordered an ASUS ROG GL552VW laptop and was wondering if getting a laptop fan to go underneath would be beneficial to the life of the laptop?

If so, any suggestions?

Yeah I bet it would, any fan would do.

They're alright for sessions when you're doing heavy loads where they'll probably shave a few degrees off. But if most of the time you're using the laptop for basic stuff, it's going to do jack squat.

If it's not doing it most of the time, I don't think it's worth it.

 

Besides, the laptop's going to last by the time you get bored with it and you really want something new.

I find that I get the same results by propping up the back of my laptop on something like a book (my laptop intakes from the bottom). It also makes less noise and sometimes even results in lower speeds for the laptops internal fans.
