Need new Modem for Frontier internet

Go to solution Solved by mattk,

I don't see how a modem is the harder option. It looks like there are very few options out there for DSL modems.

Here is a compatibility list I found:

Sorry I don't have any good experience with DSL modems. I've always had access to cable internet.

You should not have any compatibility issue plugging that router into any modem. You would just need to configure it properly.

Also, your modem should not cause the wireless signal of your ASUS router to have a bad connection if configured properly.

So I have Verizon Frontier internet (pretty crappy stuff) and decided to buy a new modem and router, cause I was getting bad connection throughout the house.

For the router I got ASUS RT-AC87U Wireless-AC2400 Dual Band Gigabit Router and now can't decide what modem to get since it is one of the harder options.

what is a good modem that can be connected with phoneline and will support the router and my internet carrier. I don't know much about networking so all help is appreciated. And yes I know these two items won't boost my internet speed but my current defualt router and modem are doing a terrible job and always having problems.

Budget is up to $150 for a modem, preferably under $100.

Thanks and I actually got the modem on that list, black one from action tech. I live in forest area so I don't get cable, only dsl I think. The modem actually works very well and fixed the issue with my Tmobile Cellspot. Now I get full lte service at my house :), before (with the cellspot on old modem) I only got 3g.
