how to put on cable combs?

does anyone know how to put on cable combs like THESE?

Remove the connector and run each individual wire through. 

 

MAKE SURE you do this one wire at a time, since if you remove them all you may not be able to tell which wire goes where after when you put them back into the connector.

For those kinds you put them in before assembling the sleeved cables, for pre-sleeved cables you will need to take off each wire and individually thread them through before reinstalling it correctly.

It seems they also sell a tool for extracting wires from connectors. Buy it if you are planning to do this.

is there any video that shows how to remove the pins and plug em back in? also what tool can i use to remove them? thanks

For de-pinning tools Mainframe customs has them, I would suggest to go for clip in ones if you don't want to be messing around with depinning and repinning:
