Soldering prodjects for a beginner

So I'm thinking of buying a soldering iron but I don't really know any beginner prodjects to try

            HEADPHONES: Focousrite HP60  ~ MIC:Focusrite CM25 ~ A.I: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 ~ MONITOR: Asus VC239H 23-inch IPS Monitor ~ CASE: Fractual Design define R4  ~ Corsair MM300 Medium

The most useful thing is to practice first is to solder two ends of thin (14-18awg) wires together and have it look neat, without melting the insulation. That helps you be quick and still effective when low heat is needed.

Look on eBay or your local electronics store for small kits. These are simple, and sometimes not so simple, circuits for beginners. Try something like an altoids tin pocket amplifier.
