How much RAM?

So I have decided to buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. I have 2 options though. Either get the 64gb ROM 3gb RAM model and get more storage later or get the 16gb ROM 2gb RAM model and buy a 64gb or 128gb SD card for it. Storage doesn't worry me as I can add more, but I want to know whether it is worth getting an extra 1gb of RAM. The phone runs on Android M and has a UI called MIUI 8. The only real heavy gaming being done on this will be emulators. Will I see a big difference between the 2 models or not?

Phone memory is really only important for people who push their devices to the limits, which frankly, is probably less than 5%.

I'd say it's worth it. Do you switch back and forth between apps? Even if you use more than a few on your phone, it'll come in handy. Do you really even need to expand past the 64gb? I haven't even really filled up my 32gb.

16gb isn't enough though, even if you're just showing the companies they shouldn't offer such memory options these days by not purchasing that model.

That's not really true, I'd say almost everyone can make use of it.

Probably not a great deal, but maybe. Honestly I wouldn't even bother with VR and a 1080p panel.
