Hi I updated windows and my resolution is wrong but I can't get into nvidia control panel to change it. It doesn't show up when I right click the desktop and won't load when I open it from control panel. I tried downloading latest driver on GeForce experience and from the website and I still can't get it to open! Pls help!

Thanks, Lewis

Ive been trying to fix my computer as it had a driver issue (pls see last post) so I was trying to do a fresh nvidia driver install so on the software I selected the safe mode which the video suggested and it restarted and did nothing just a black screen so I manually restarted again and now when I turn it on nothing happens just a black screen.

check all connections and reset the bios to stock by taking out the mobo battery for 5 minutes then try to boot it again

I just merged you thread, if something happen you can simply edit the thread and change the title, making multiple thread for a problem is considered spamming.

I actually tried that but nothing happened it was a black screen for ages so I restarted my pc and now it won't boot and I just have a black screen!

What do you mean by "black screen"

is you PC starting? (lights? fans spinning? etc..) or is it just not starting at all?

rightclick the desktop, then click screen resolution, you should be able to change it in there.

Have you tried restarting your computer? Or perhaps finding geforce experience in the start menu, booting that up, then seeing if the control panel will work?

Lights and fans even keyboard and mouse but nothing on my monitor

turn the PC off, pull the GPU out, plug the screen on the motherboard and try again.

if that still doesn't work try resetting the CMOS and keep the BIOS on default.

When you have video out, without reinstalling the GPU, change the BIOS setting from the iGPU to PCIE.

Then turn the PC off, reinstall the GPU and see if that works!
