Hey so i found these kinds of LEDs and they seem to be really awesome because you can do a lot of differnt effects with them. My question/idea can i use an Arduoino Nano ( and some access components) to power and controll them? I plan on having a little case for the Arduoino and then a usb plug ( from the pc ) going into it and from the case there will be a little extension cable for the strip that delivers power and data. Is something like this possible ? And if so , is it complicated to build ? I have never soldered ever in my life befor and i dont know much about electronics

Showing in the recommended items to buy with it, it looks like you should be able to because there is a nano in there. Google translate actually worked to translate the page.

You think its possible , but are you sure it does? and will USb power be enough for a whole case LED strip?

As long as you are going through USB 3.0, you should have plenty of power. I am not 100% sure, but why would they recommend you but an arguino nano with it. It all makes sense. Just to be safe, I would ask a question on the item if you can. That will guarantee it.

I just looked somehting up and it seems like the LEDs need 3.6A per meter and usb 3.0 puts only 900mA out :/

For those LED's they are addressable so you can control each one individually however it should never be directly powered off the arduino, what you can do on those units it have a split lead with the ground and power so that the LED's are powered the the ardunio only takes the control signals:

I know that they are adressable , do i have any advantages when using an Arduino UNO compared to an Arduino Nano ?

You wouldn't need that many headers for the LED strips so the Nano would have more than enough to control LED's.聽
