Nope. If you have a 4GB+ text file you need to edit, I think you have other problems.

If you need to edit a 4GB+ text file, you can just use HxD to do it.

There are a few other programs much like this HTML editor that are based on  x86 architecture. Built around the Windows XP platform and prior, another is a database one called SAP, which still seem to be working / running fine on a Windows 8.1 machine. But you could hardly see someone buying institution licenses at $4,000 per user and not owning a WX machine!.

 

This update may be to enable them to work in the Windows 10 environment moving away from the "16-bit applications" they once were!
