Hi guys, I am currently deciding on what graphics card I should get for my new gaming pc and I'm stuck on getting a ASUS Strix 1060 or a Msi Gaming X 1060. I just want to know the pros and cons of these cards. also if this helps, here's my specs. I5 6600,500w Evga psu, spec 01 case, and a micro atx mobo. Sorry can remember the name of that. I'm also going to be playing games like Rust,COD,Battlefield and arma 3. Thanks!

Just from a brand perspective MSI is seen as way better than ASUS.

Gaming - Ryzen 9800X3D | 64GB 6400mhz cl30 9070 XT

Homelab - many servers...constantly changing.

3970X/256GB - 5950X/128GB ECC - 5600G/96GB - 3400GE/16GB - 3400GE/16GB

YEAH Arma 3!  Anyway the MSI one has 1x DVI, 1x HDMI, and 3x DisplayPort but the Asus has 1x DVI, 2x HDMI, and 2x DisplayPort so if you want multi-monitor I would get the Asus cause dual HDMI.  The Asus also has the higher base/boost clock.  Both have RGB leds but the Asus I think will match any system better because it is grey not black and red already.  Also I think the Asus software is better than MSI.

EDIT: And the Asus has 3 frikin fans so heck yeah.

EDIT:  BUT the MSI is about $50 cheaper on Newegg.

i5 12600k | ASRock Z690M-ITX 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz | EVGA 2080 Super Black | Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB + 980 1TB | Corsair RMx 650W | Thermaltake Tower 100 White

If you are going for a high end 330 dollar GPU might as well save that 70 more bucks and buy a 1070, that my opnion

If you can spare 70-100 dollars, its around a 25 percent performance increase as well as the ability to commit to sli later on.

Same functionality/performance, but the ASUS has LEDs.

If you wanna OC a little, any card with 2 8pin connectors is gonna be better than one with 1 8pin.

It doesn't really matter in this case tho since 1060s have a 120 watt tdp and with one 8 pin it's already 225 watts of power consumption room so... I don't see a 1060 drawing 225 watts anytime soon.

On 1060s I don't think you can even raise the power limit all the way to 225 watts so it really doesn't matter. As a matter of fact I don't know if there are even any 1060s with more than 1 8-pin :D

actually the strix has better temps and acoustics than the msi. It draws a little bit more power but not too much.
