[Help] M.2 SSD confusion

Hi guys, i have searched on internet but still i didnt find any satisfactory results.

So i want to know about the interface and the Speed of these 2, 128GB M.2 SSDs 

1. Samsung CM871 M.2 128GB, Interface = SATA
2. Samsung SM951 M.2 128GB, Interface =  PCI Express Gen3x4

Which one can i put in Dell 7559 Laptop ( the speed of SM 951 is fast )  but im not sure about that Interface thingy.

Can anyone please explain?

Your laptop does not take advantage of pcie on the m.2. You are limited by the SATA 3 bus at 6Gbps.

so is it worth getting the first one or should i stick with normal 1 TB HDD?

From what i read on the 7559 is that the slot only uses the SATA bus for that m.2 interface, so you will be capped at SATAIII speeds.

 

Either of those SSDs will work, but will be using SATAIII specs, not PCIe specs.

I think the 871 must be the oem variant
