Headset selection problem

So yeah, I'm kinda stuck in a corner here. My current headset keeps, like, I dunno, "hurting" my ears, like it cups them and squeeze them too hard and it hurts when I remove them? Or when I play for like more then an hour straight. I also wear glasses, which could be part of the problem. I tried playing with a hat or whatever, it's hot in here though, hehe. So there you go, since I obviously can't go to just any store and try a few headset on, I need some feedback or suggestions from you guys. Pls.

Anyways, thanks

Explains it, max budget and assuming you need a MIC of some form?

yeah I know 60$ = shit value and major hurts, at the time I was 15 though so it worked fine for my standards...back then.

At this point I know I want a wired headset, so yeah of course mic is included, that's the difference between headset vs headphones right?

Budget I'd say something like $200 CAN? That's good value right?

I'll be home in a bit, at that price you may be better off with a quality pair of headphones and a separate MIC.

Oh shit never though about that. I'll continue research on this side though, not gonna lie, but I'd still like feedback/ideas

Something like the Sennheiser 380 Pros may be nice for you. I have the 280 Pros and with a little 2 year old sister they do block out a good portion of the sound, especially once you start playing something like music.

That'll leave CND $50 for a microphone which should be plenty, maybe something like a BM-800 or NW-800 or look into a Dynamic Cardioid microphone ( If there is a ton of background noise in your house such as people talking ect ) a dynamic cardioid mic should block out most of it along as it isn't facing in the general direction of where the sound is coming from.

I would imagine that if the mic is a standalone one it's going to need some extra software to run right?

Not all the time, most mics are plug and play and usually say if they aren't.
