So, I was wanting to get started on water cooling, so I was looking at kits.

I've got three options I'd even consider getting.

A.)http://shop.xs-pc.com/xsp/XSPC-RayStorm-D5-RX360-WaterCooling-Kit_33617.html

B.)http://shop.xs-pc.com/xsp/XSPC-RayStorm-D5-EX360-WaterCooling-Kit_31717.html

C.)http://www.ekwb.com/shop/kits-cases/kits/ek-kit-h3o-360-hfx.html

For all of these, I'd be doing

A.) Replacing all the barbs/fittings with Compression fittings.

B.) Getting different tubing to fit said compression fittings. Probably 3/8ID 5/8OD

C.) Replacing all the fans with Corsair AF120s

Now, with that said, I was wondering if this would be better than the Corsair h100i as it is a closed loop.

Also, I was wondering how much better it might be to add another rad to it?

Another question, if I was to do this, what tubing should I get? I was looking to get it in red, to match the whole theme I'm doing.

I'd be going with Red tubing, and white PSU connectors, maybe red if the white looks bad.

Thanks for the help.

it says the three options all come with compression fittings so im a little confused as to why you are replacing them, unless you are getting some themed colour etc

personal opinion, but get clear tubing and then a colored coolant

Corsair's SP series would be better for the rad (better = more effective)

H100i is cheaper and easier to configure

kit a, b or c will give you lower temps and take a bit more effort to setup

i personally run a h100i and i have never had any problems however i havent overclocked my cpu that much

hope this helped :)

I was actually going to get the clear tubing and colored coolant, I just haven't updated the OP Yet, the point of getting a kit was that the h100i wasn't what I wanted, as I wanted to overclock my 4930k to a much higher than stock clock, so I don't think the h100i would be able to do it.

im not too sure about the 4930k but a 360 rad should do the trick

There are some main differences though - the XSPC kits have a bay res with integrated pump. That pump being a Laing D5 variable - an excellent pump. The EK kit has a tube res and a lower end pump. Right there, I would choose one of the XSPC kits. But, if you HAVE to have a tube res, then the EK is your option, but then, I would not get that kit with that pump. :)

A 360 is more then enough to cool your CPU with an overclock when running the Corsair fans.

Also - for red. Most red coolant is garbage. Discolors easily and goes pink or off shades. If you want a solid red, go with red tubing and plain coolant. Prmochill Advnaced LRT I believe it is, is very good and has a nice red to it.

A solid answer.

The Jingway that EK use is not a bad pump at all, just  a bit noisy.

All dyes are garbage, not just the red....which as you say,is the worst offender for staining and colour drop out.
