System Specs
Windows 8.1
GTX 970  > 368.81 and 372.70 ( doesn't matter )

2500k @ 4.5ghz > I have been running this for several years now. OC is not the issue
16gb 1333mhz  - ram is mix match but has been stress tested with the CPU to guarantee they are compatible
SSD1 - adata SP920 128gb (OS and some programs)
SSD2 - Sandisk z400s 256GB (games)
HDD WD PURPLE 8TB 5400rpm
PSU _ seasonic 1050w 80+gold

WHAT I HAVE TRIED and it did NOT help

Reseating every component and changing thermal paste ( in progress)

Removing soundcard ( increaced the time between shutdowns )
Running without UPS ( no change )

Disconecting the case button (in progress)
Turning SIMPLINK on my tv OFF ( in progress)

Scanning with windows defender (nothing found)

THE PROBLEM
I am almost 99% certain the issue is not hardware. Temps are great, stressing the system doesn't cause the issue. It always happens in the middle of nothing usually after 9 or 10 hours of nonstop operation. The problem is that once it happens it stats happening more often (2nd picture). Windows reports it as not properly shutdown.

WHAT HAPPENS

The computer shutdowns like the power is has been cut via holding the power button AND the system restarts (even though in UEFI I have set it up to stay OFF on powerloss)

It does not restart since there is spends a second or two more sitting off then a regular restart

I can't reproduce the issue. Since it happens at such huge intervals.

I didn't see where you tested without an overclock on your list?

Immediate shutdowns such as those that you are experiencing are generally CPU cache or RAM related.  In an overclocked state, the likelihood of those issues appearing increases greatly.

How can it be the OC when stress testing doesn't trigger it ??!

I started to type a long explanation addressing this, but I can tell you ain't having it, so with that, I'll leave you to your hunt for a solution.

I wish you the best.  These things can be fun.  Okay, not really, but sometimes the answer is right in front of you.

Don't get me wrong, I need the help but this is not the issue and it not worth it to dig where the problem doesn't lie. The only new thing in the system is the brand new 8TB WD purple and I am sure that even If I pull it out it will still crash.

Not really. Please use quote so I can see that you respond.

Please use these instruction: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/179397-dump-files-upload-sevenforums.html

How to configure to have full dump, etc: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html

As the other said. Did you even stock clock before posting?

Also, if you don't want to wipe, create a partition of use another free hdd to install an OS and test the system with a clean OS. As you seem sure that's software.

You've done all the stuff listed in your OP, but you consider loading defaults in BIOS, which literally takes 2 seconds "not worth it to dig".

Let's do the most obvious step last, right?  :P
