HTML or Javascript in signatures

rm -rf

I'd like to put a countdown to the death of Windows 7 Extended support in my signature, any way to do this, or any chance that this could be possible in the future?

Not seeing javascript ever being allowed. Too much security risk. Link to it from your profile?

There is no way at all that we will ever in a million years allow javascript in a signature, or anywhere else in user generated content.

Allowing javascript would mean that you could execute arbitrary scripts on other people's browsers, which is the definition of a security vulnerability.

HTTP/2 203

You could get something like a dynamic image generator hosted on a separate site.

I would side with Kavawuvi here, get a free hosting packet somewhere with PHP and just do a little script that creates the image with a countdown and then add it as normal image to you signature. The countdown wouldn't be "real time" but at least change with every page reload.

Although I honestly don't know if images are allowed in signatures. :|

They aren't allowed in signatures.

Not in sigs. But you could do link to image which updates in profile. If images direct link remains the same.
