Speccy help?

Go to solution Solved by Daveeede,

Double Data Rate 3 = DDR3. 800 mhz x 2 = 1600 mhz you are fine.

Hi! Could somebody tell me if I have to multiply x2 the RAM speed given in Speccy? I have an AMD Lenovo Y700 Gaming Laptop with 8GB DDR3 Dual channel RAM at 1600 MHz . Speccy reports it at 798 MHz, though. Is that normal?
Thanks! :) PS: task manager reports the speed as 800mhz. Am I still fine?

It's normal.

The formula for determining memory speed with DDR is simply 2x=y where x equals the actual frequency of the memory, and y equals the effective frequency.
