KB3189866 from latest update breaks drive mapping

mmk

KB3189866 from the latest updates for win10 seems to have broken the ability to map to my external drives, a WD MyBookWorld.  Out of 3 systems, 2 have this problem where the systems can no longer reconnect to the networked drives.  Disconnecting then try to map to the drives again does not work, just get error messages.

Seems like it may be a problem with using a MS account to logon to the systems.  The one system that was not affected uses a local logon.  Removed the update from my laptop, then changed the logon from a MS logon to a local logon and was able to map to my drives again and was able to install the update again and had no problem with mapping the drives.

Any one else experiencing this problem and if so, found any solution for it short of changing to using local logon instead of a MS logon?

Only have a couple of WD external drives connected to my router.  Don't think that is related to the WD drives, here is someone else who is having a similar problem:

Might have to change all my logins to local accounts so I can access the drives.  Not sure if there is any really great benefits to using the MS login short of not being able to go to the MS store..?
