interesting that its more people than not that have seen a cow... people go outside? haven't seen one in ages I have just realised.... but I have seen a few as there are lands around our place that have them.

oh and not in the US, but Australia

What in the actaul hell. When I was young we had cows at my house. Had a few calfs, Used to help out at my friends farm with their livestock when I was younger than 10.

I think the question should be have you ever pat a cow? Or feed one?

I live in the US and have seen a cow up close... but not in the US, I saw about 3 generations of cows when I visited India.
