The motherboard doesn't affect performance. If you don't have any preferences when it comes to features or aesthetics, just go for the cheapest compatible board available.

It seems you're planning a new build. It'd be better to head to the New Builds and Planning subforum and plan the system as a whole instead of breaking it apart into several threads about individual parts and compartmentalizing the discussion. Be sure to read the sticky as well before posting.

Modern motherboards are pretty solid and reliable across the board. Any of them would be fine.

How many USB ports do you want? How many USB ports does your case support (will you be able to connect them all?) How many PWM fan headers do you want? Does the colour scheme work for you?

As far as I can tell these are the only differentiable criteria.

First of all, it all depends on what kind of rig your shooting for and the budget. But when I look for mobo's i always think of the FUTURE & upgrading/expansion. In my 'opinion' Asus makes the best quality mobos. For intel The Maximus Here line of mobos are great. Little pricey cheapest one is lil over $200. But the motherboard is an important part to a complete quality build.
