onboard graphics and card at same time

I am putting together a computer build and i am wonder if this motherboard:

disables the onboard graphics when you plug in a graphics card.

 

I want to have a secondary monitor for skype, teamspeak, mumble, discord, on

I want to ave this connected to internal graphics so that it doesent hurt my game performance

 

I also want to use it for the OBS rendering so as to not hurt my game fps

 

does anyone know if this motherboard disables onboard graphics or if it lets you use graphics card and onboard at the same time?

Yes, motherboards often do this by default. You can turn on iGPU Multi-monitor in the motherboard settings to enable the iGPU when you have a graphics card installed.

By default, it will, though you can manually change that and tell the iGPU to always be active.

Oh, if that's all you want, then you can just plug your second monitor directly into your main GPU. It won't cause a performance drop.

Er.... can I advise you not to? In my experience, QuickSync is a garbage encoder, you'd be better off just running x264 for a nice stream.

I have a single slot GeForce 8800GT (Mac Edition), should I use that for OBS rendering instead of onboard?

 

does intel onboard graphics not support x264?
