Lenovo Ideapad M2.0 ssd compatiblity

Gidoguy

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 510, It only has a 1tb HDD, but I'd like to add an SSD. Can I install an M2.0 SSD on my laptop? And if so, which one?

Thanks

Check if the spec sheet lists a M.2 Slot. Or get a Sata 3 SSD

looking at the specs I can't find any way to mount a m.2 SSD other than replacing the WiFi card - assuming the m.2 slot is actually PCIe

Looks like it may have an m.2 slot that commonly used to facility an ssd cache.

If you do have one, you'll need to verify the length it supports (probably 42mm).
