Headset for my needs

I have no idea about headsets. I want a headset with a microphone for gaming but that has good music playback too. I am only going to use it with my pc since I dont like carrying a headset to listen to music on my phone, but it woud be a welcome feature to have on long trips once in a while. I have a maximus vi formula with nice onboard audio so I am not interested in digital. Budget is 50-100 $ in the US Market which means a maximum of 110€ since everything is pricyer here in Europe.

Why do i always get blue screens? Why not a red one for a change?

If you are concerned about music quality don't get a headset. Buy a nice pair of headphones with a zalman clip on.

 

For your price range, I'd check out the pioneer SE-A1000 or 558's.

I really liked the look of the pioneers but they are discontinued and cant find them anywhere in my country. The 558s cost 160€ so I cant consider them. I think I should get closed headphones. I liked your idea of getting a clipon or other kind of mic. Any other suggestions?

I don't know the prices in other countries. How do the DT 770's look?

Eh, you can get better for the money. They used to be much better when they were cheaper. They're also not comfortable over long periods of time if you play games at an extended period of time.

 

HD 518's should be in your price range, I would pick them up instead.

The m50s are around 155€ in my country. So are the 558s, the dt 770s, the akg k550s and the dt 990s. Are you saying that the m50s are not as good as others in this price range?

I'd look into any of those others you listed over m50's.

 

just remember the HD5xx series and DT990's are both open.

Will work for electronic components and parts

I'd grab a high impedance 770 just because of that.

Lol, they're studio grade headphones, and lots of... "artists" use them in the studio.
