HELP NEEDED ASAP

I have built my first PC and everything is running (lights up and fans are moving) but I'm currently trying to install windows but I can't, it seems to be that it's not recognizing my PC on my monitor (input) and the usb's do not work(nolight on keyboard and mouse).

Is there any monitor output?

 

It might be a doa motherboard.

I assume the system "appears" to be booting though yes?

Are the mouse and keyboard plugged directly into the motherboard io on the back or on some connectors at the front of the case?

 

Do you have a discrete graphics card or are you using integrated graphics?

Does your Case support USB 2.0, Your motherboard may only have usb 2.0 ports while the case has 3.0 outputs

well the mobo couldn't be dead if the fans are connected to the mobo and they work

Is the 4-pin cpu power plugged in for sure? They'll light up like that with it unplugged but wont post.

Most likely not because all the leds on the motherboard are lighting.

welp, (I mean fans are running and leds lighting up yes) but I don't receive any input signal and USB slots don't work

I think you need to provide more info.

 

What are your system specs?

What connection are you using for your monitor?

Do you know for sure the monitor works?

Have you tried reseating ALL the connections for both internal hardware and peripherals?

 

Have you attached the correct power cables to the graphics card?

 

Have you tried using the onboard graphics?

a) No I have not tried Ill do asap (but the cables are just so annoying) or I might end up rebuilding it

b) Yes I think it was either a 8 or 4pin

A) Yes. Do that. You might think that you've connected everything, but sometimes (just sometimes) this will fix things. Especially if the GPU is not seated propery.

B) Ok. It'd still be good to see the specs of the build.

C) Might be worth trying
