HP server issue

OK so first off, the server is HP Proliant ML350 G6 (1366 socket)

 

So the server originally came with 1 CPU and 3 fans (2 for the 1st CPU and 1 for the top ram), i installed 2 CPUs now (1 has a DIY cooler on it, works fine) but the issue is that if i try to put a fan from let's say slot 1 to slot 4 to help cool the second CPU, it won't boot up cause there's a fan error, but it doesn't give the error if the 4th one is missing, can this be changed somehow, so that i can put 1 fan from one slot to the 4th one w/o having the stupid ''fan missing'' error, i don't want to give HP like 50€+ for a fan worth like 5€...

 

to make it clear if it's not, slot 1,2,3 are connected to the fans, 4th isn't, works fine, if i put a fan from any of those slots to slot 4, it'll say it doesn't detect a fan in one of those slots and it'll shut down even tho it's connected to slot 4.

Sorry don't have anything to add, am just interested in this as I just bought a G6 yesterday and may run into some of these problems possibly. I wish you luck with finding the solution

 

Just out of interest what board is your g6 using? as mine from a cursory look is the se316m1 that has proprietary connectors that are 6 pins, so was wondering how you even got a fan to connect?

You will have to either get a cheap fan and run it off of the power supply with the original fan layout, or buy an hp fan to work in the system in that slot, they aren't 50€ though, you can probabbly get used ones for like 10€, on sites like ebay, and such.
